Fishing and Other Local Attractions
If Fishing is on your agenda, The Gulf View Resort is a great destination.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced angler, you may want
to book a charter and fish with the Pros. Fishing trips usually
last about four hours, run a couple times a day and sometimes at
night. This is a good choice especially if you don’t have
as much time as you’d like to spend on the water.
If you are on a budget or you get a last minute urge, try a party
boat. You may not get quite as much personal attention, but
if you’re catching fish, who cares?
Another option is to bring your own boat, which gives you the freedom
to fish when and wherever you wish. And don’t worry if you
don’t know where to fish, we will point you in the right direction.
Some people find it easier to rent a boat once they get out here.
We recommend making all arrangements prior to your arrival. You
may just want to fish off one of our canoes or paddle boats, which
are free to our guests, or try fishing off our pier or one of the
local bridges. Whether it’s the bay, the flats, the Reef or
trolling with the big boys that catches your interests, The Gulf
View Resort is where you’ll want to be.
Here are a couple of our favorite local fishing charters, please
contact them directly. Some of these boats book up months in advance,
depending on the season, so it’s a good idea to schedule your
trip(s) as early as possible.

Party Boats
Party boats are a good option if you are vacationing on a budget,
or if you just want to squeeze in as much fishing as possible. Party
boat rates may vary but you’ll definitely get the most “bang
for your buck”. If you are interested in going on a party
boat fishing trip please contact them directly.

If you bring your own boat or rent a boat,
there is a $20.00 per day docking fee, which includes launching
and storage of your trailer. We do not recommend any boats larger
than 20', because at low tide, water levels can be as low as 1'
6". Also, take note that we have a dock not individual slips,
and occasionally if there are more than two or three boats we ask
that you tie off the bow of the boat to the pier and throw an anchor
off the stern. If you have any questions please call 1-877-289-0111.
