How do I reserve a room?

The best way to make a reservation is to call us at (305) 289-1414 between 8 am and 7 pm EST. You may also email us at sunshine@gulfviewwaterfrontresort.com. To confirm your reservation, we require a deposit of one night’s stay plus tax.

Is Gulf View a pet-friendly hotel?

Yes! We welcome dogs with a $25 USD per day charge. Pets may be walked anywhere on the property, excluding the pool area (by state law), as long as they are on leash. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets, addressing any damages they incur during their stay, and making sure their pets are happy. After all, it’s their vacation too!

What if I have to cancel my reservation?

Because of our size, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. Cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to the reserved arrival date for a deposit refund. A $50 USD administration fee will be charged for all cancellations. There are no refunds for cancellations made after the 14 day period. An EARLY DEPARTURE fee of one night’s stay plus tax will be applied to reservations that are shortened after the 14 day period.

Can I bring my boat?

Yes. You may bring your boat, a rental boat, or better yet bring a friend’s boat! There is a $25 USD per day charge that includes use of the boat ramp, dockage, and trailer storage. Due to the depth of the water at low tide, we typically limit boat size to 20 feet.

What do I do if I am going to be checking in late?

No worries! We won’t give your room away. Please notify us if you are going to arrive after 7 pm, and we will go over our late check-in procedure with you.

Do I have to reserve the free boats?

No. Our complimentary canoes and kayaks are available on a first-come, first-served basis from dawn to dusk. We supply the life vests required, and you supply the fun! We will explain additional details at check-in.

What is in the kitchens?

Rooms with kitchens are fully equipped, including a full size refrigerator, range, microwave, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and silverware. You’ll even find mixing bowls, measuring spoons and cups, baking pans, and more. If there’s something you need that isn’t there, just ask. We may just be able to get it for you (within reason). We do not supply food or paper towels.

Can I have guests visit during my stay?

Generally, no… but we may make exceptions upon request.

Can I eat the fruit off the trees ?

Yes, absolutely! Depending on the season you may find guavas, mangos, papayas, bananas, avocados, dragon fruit, mandarin oranges, lychee fruit, Persian limes, coconuts, and more. We only request that you ask first.

What is your smoking policy?

All of our rooms are non-smoking rooms. A fee of up to $250 USD will be assessed for smoking in a room.

Is the pool heated?

Yes. Our fresh-water pool is heated to around 85℉ degrees in the winter.

How old do I have to be to reserve a room?

The minimum age to make a reservation is 21.

What is the additional room guest policy?

There is a $25 USD per guest per day charge, and occupancy limits apply.
